Pollutant load reduction models for estuaries

To develop scientifically-defensible management strategy to regulate pollutant loading into estuaries, pollutant load reduction models are being developed and applied. These pollutant load reudction models relate the loading of pllutants form various sources to quantifiable esturaine health inices (e.g., water q uality, habitat biomass and proeuctivity, or fisher production), and allow the determination of pollutant load reduction goals which are reuired to reach or retain target estuarine health indices.
