Perfection of ships of the last generation in fleets all over the world is directly connected with development and introduction of the ship electronics. The electronics includes not only operating speed but the sophisticated information, integrated and intellectual systems as well. The electronic components have been updated every 5-7 years with the next break-through every time in performances, micro miniaturization and reliability. The electronics promises the tremendous success in development of the warship detection systems on various physical fields, the target designation systems for weapons, communication systems, integrated ship control and equipment control systems as well as the crew information supporting systems. It is impossible to simulate future operations, to plan combat operations, to train crew, to control complicated multi-purpose complexes such as the Navy of any state. In this paper the author's position on a number of problems is set forth. They include development and introduction of this the most young, the most complicated and may be the most promising for the marine engineers direction. At the same time, introduction of the electronics on ships entail great expenses. And if the process of the electronics development will not be modeled in time and the process after-effects will not be estimated then the goal to be set is unlikely to be achieved. The authors make an attempt to answer the most actual questions arising by development of the war ship computerized systems. They are: How to find the optimal balance between the man and machine? At what conditions is it rational to shift the man by the machine? The most rational consequence of automation stages is set forth in the paper, beginning from the automated control of some warship equipment with a watch in a compartment and further to the entire (in perspective) automation and robotization of warship control. Herewith, the electronics introduction priority is given to those technical robot complexes which are intended for the service and operation of the most dangerous for the crew life and health systems as well as for the survivability of a warship while at the battle and during the operational damages. The wide ranges of accompanying problems have been analyzed. The correct and timely solution of them should be accompanied by development and introduction of the advanced electronic equipment into the naval technique in the electronic age that has come.
