A New Computer Based Morris Water Maze Tracking and Analyzing System

摘要

A new computer based Morris Water Maze tracking and analyzing system was developed. It can be used for on-line tracking and off-line analysis. In online mode, the trace of the animal can be displayed and the experiment parameters can be calculated in real time. In off-line mode, all the analysis can be done for the experiments recorded on videotapes or hard disk files. Fast and accurate locking of the moving rat was obtained by the new tracking algorithm, including trace prediction, local and global tracking.
