A Tool to Integrate Java and Object Oriented Concepts into a Database Cours

Recent revisions in the Information Systems and Sciences Program at the University of North Florida resulted in prerequisite changes which necessitated adaptations to the inclusion of object oriented concepts and programming for the database systems course. In addition to reprioritizing the course topics, an educational tool has been developed using a banking system with components for database design, interactive SQL, and Java interface. The tool is utilized to enhance the lectures and to provide an interactive software to help the database students learn how to integrate different software and concepts from both database and prerequisite courses.
