Quantitative eddy current testing using a field probe

In this paper we present a numerical tool able to fully simulate an ECT apparatus based on the fluxset field sensor. A nonlinear model of the sensor is coupled to a simulation tool able to reproduce the effect of cracks in conducting bodies in terms of magnetic field variation. The results show that the signal provided by the probe is not very different from the field perturbation in the center of the core.
