Search for 4-n cluster in 8{sup left}He+4{sup left}He collision and 4-n system

摘要

A search for the transfer of 4-neutron cluster in the elastic scattering of 8{sup left}He on a gaseous helium target at a beam energy of 26 A·MeV is reported. The upper limits of the cross section at the backward scattering angles were obtained. DWBA calculations show that the two-step 2n transfer will contribute more than the one-step 4n transfer. The d (8{sup left}He,4n) 6{sup left}Li reaction for investigation of the 4-neutron system is discussed.
