Modelling of the infiltration of retardant in a tree crown

摘要

In this work we proposed two approaches for modelling the infiltration of retardant in vegetation. We used for computation the geometrical fractal modelling of vegetation. The first model of infiltration relies on a one fluid V.O.F. model. This model is ad hoc for the part of the dropped fluid which is still continuous. In the second model we consider the fluid as discontinuous. The main process considered here is the instability of pendant drops under gravity.
