摘要

Current pedagogy requires improvement in imparting the skills required to effectively junction in cross-disciplinary virtual organizations. Students often have little opportunity to develop cross-disciplinary communication skills and practice application of the skills necessary to develop and operate virtual enterprises. Kent State University School of Technology faculty have created a time-lined virtual corporate environment in which the development of cross-disciplinary skills is an integral part of the curriculum. Students are required to develop the infrastructure and synthesize management techniques to facilitate strategic planning and day-to-day operation of the corporation. Students are also responsible for solving any cross-disciplinary communication issues that may arise. Students spend part of their time in the classroom and part of their time in virtual corporation cross-disciplinary meetings.
