Adoption of A New Coal Blending Method for Production of High-Quality Metallurgical Coke

摘要

This paper presents a new knowledge about properties of coking coal on the basis of the petrographic theory of coal blending. A summary of coal's characteristics is given of "four differences" related with temperature, conformity degree of mixed coal, dynamic changes in properties of coal and time interval length. Based on this knowledge, this paper gives a brief introduction of the principle of a patented technology -"a method for producing high-quality coke", its calculating method used, and the results of implementing this method in the coking practices of Shanxi.
