This paper concerns a problem of robust H{sub}∞ control for uncertain systems with time-varying state-delay. A new delay-dependent robust H{sub}∞ controller is presented in terms of matrix inequalities. An algorithm involving convex optimization is proposed to find a suboptimal maximal delay such that the closed-loop system with the designed controller is asymptotically stable and guarantees the H{sub}∞ norm bound for all admissible uncertainties. Numerical examples are presented to show that the proposed results are less conservative than the existing results.
