The authors have proposed selection technique of waste polymer materials using unsteady heat conduction and thermal adhesion. In the selection technique, the difference of adhesion temperature of individual polymer material, and unsteady heat transfer from a heated metal p late to polymer material was used. Thermal adhesion phenomenon of polymer material to a heated plate is dominated by the interface temperature between them, but the interface temperature measurement has not been performed well due to the experimental difficulty. In this study, therfore, actual interface temperature between a polymer and heating plate of crystalline material (CaF{sub}2 ) was measured with infrared thermometer. CO{sub}2 laser was used as radiation heating source to control the temperature of CaF{sub}2 plate. Measured interface temperature compared with the one analytically estimated one, and descrepancy of the difference between them was discussed to improve selection-ability of the proposing technique.
