The objective of the study was to investigate the condensate behaviors for water-ethanol Marangoni dropwise condensation. The method to measure the unsteady behaviors of the condensate thickness was established by using the laser light absorption method. Further, the unsteady variations of the condensate film thickness after the sweeping of the heat transfer surface by the departing drops and between two various drops in Marangoni condensation cycle were measured. Also the initial drop distances were measured by the simultaneous observation by the high-speed digital camera. As a result, the dependencies of the film thickness appeared after sweeping and between drops on the initial drop distance were shown and discussed.
