摘要

The laser flash method is one of the most popular methods to measure the thermal diffusivity of dense and homogeneous solid material above room temperature. The lotus-type porous metals are metal with one-dimensional pores. It is expected as the applications of heat sinks and filters. So, there is need to evaluate the thermal conductivity of the lotus metal. We have carried out the laser flash measurements and the heat transfer simulations to estimate the thermal diffusivity of the lotus-type copper with about 50% porosity. The measurement result agrees with the result of the simulation. It is found that the laser flash method has applicability to the thermal diffusivity measurement of the lotus metal.
