Transient heat flux is measured between a wall and liquid fuel film which is formed through spray-wall impingement using a port-injection type gasoline engine injector. The measurements have been done for three fuels; n-heptane, gasoline and three component surrogate fuel, on the wall temperature range from 300K to 513K. The measurement results show that the heat flux change of the three component surrogate fuel is similar to that of gasoline. Comparing the measurement data and Chen's nuclear boiling heat transfer equation, a model constant is obtained to evaluate wall heat fluxes.
