Heat transfer measurement were conducted for a two-dimensional impinging jet which two flat plates were parallelly installed near long edge of nozzle exit and the normal impinging jet in which they are not installed. The jet Reynolds number was set at about 4800, 9600 and 13300 and the target plate was positioned at a distance from the jet exit of 2,3,4 and 5 times the jet slot width. The maximum stagnant local Nusselt number obtained when two flat plates were installed augmented by about 36% in comparison with the normal impinging jet.
