This work is based on immune principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): perverse Energy, Tai Yang and Tai Yin, aspecific defences, Wei Qi role, Yin/Yang balance, Qi and Xue (Energy and Blood). After a study about immune effects in acupuncture,highlighted in a scientific test, a group of ten dairy cows was treated with acupuncture to improve their immune level. Milk and blood samples were tested to verify the modification in somatic cell count, white blood cells and other parameters. The results are the base to mastitis prophylaxis program.
