摘要

This paper deals with the influence on the thermal performance and the productivity of desalinated water caused by different slopes in the cover of a basin-type still. Two identical basin-type stills were built, with the only variation of the slope in the cover, 22° for one and 4° for the other. The results of the measurements were assessed, and they were compared with the lab outcomes. There is some bibliography that treats these case (1-5). This paper takes into account the laboratory experimental results for analysis the stills working into real conditions of operation.
