With its potential reserves, Southeast Asian region has the long-run prospect for increased nickel supply to the world. But the mining and the processing capacity of nickel are still dominated by corporations and capital of industrial countries. To realize its potential supply, mining companies in this region should enhance their capability by expansion their capacity. And it will not be easy in the economic crisis era. Besides financial problem, the mining companies nowadays, will also be faced on the social and the environmental issues. At the consumption side, the Asian consumption of nickel will be increased at an optimistic rate after recovering the economic crisis.
