Libraries in the new century: Research and Implementation of Digital Library's Application Architecture

The new century means a new epoch in many respects. What a current library would be like in the 21st century? In this paper, we will present some of our viewpoints on how libraries should face the challenges of the new century and provide their best services for the society. With the development of advanced technologies, especially the breakthroughs in information science and network technology, the library will be improved greatly and unavoidably by this technologic tide.
