Trends in Offshore Safety on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

Norway has achieved a satisfactory safety standard in the offshore activity. Presently, however, a negative trend in the risk level seems to be developing. The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate continuously considers new measures to counteract a possible negative trend before it materialises in serious accidents.
