A study of generating mechanism of vehicle structure-borne interior noise and main noise transmission paths is done. After the vibration equation, boundary condition and effective excitation are given, the coupled FE model of full vehicle body and the inside air is built with properly determined boundary conditions and effective excitations. The sensitivities of SPL at driver’s right ear to vertical forces at joints between body and frame or at support points under the engine are calculated. Based on the contribution of every NTP, main NTPs are found out, and some possible ways to optimize the interior acoustics characteristics are suggested.
