摘要

In this paper, an efficient optimization strategy is applied to sound reduction of a real-world problem: an MRI scanner. Simplified models are used in order to study the performance of the optimization methods on realistic problems, while computational efforts are low. An optimization problem using the standard formulation, as well as a problem with multiple objectives is solved. Possibilities for obtaining substantial results using a limited number of design parameters, and, more importantly, using a limited number of numerical analyses, are demonstrated.
