Fatigue Strength of Crane Girders with Filleted Corner Ends

摘要

Fatigue cracks have been found on crane girder with filleted corner ends. The stresses in the crane girder are analyzed with finite element method (FEM), and fatigue tests of 8 specimens are conducted. Based on the analysis and test results, a DELTA sigma-N curve for the fatigue strength of the crane girders is presented.
