Rude, Samoborska gora ore deposit is a subterrestrial, hydrothermal siderite-hematite-polysulfide-barite mineralization, with well developed SEDEX part of the deposit. It is Permo-Triassic in age, situated in the westernmost part of the Zagorje-Mid-Transdanubian zone (ZMT), at the margins of the Dinaridic carbonate platform. The deposits of similar genetic style, like Rude-Samobor, Bistra-Medvednica, Rudabanya (Hungary), accommodate along the Zagorje-Mid-Transdanubian zone (ZMT), a northwestern extension of the Internal Dinarides. The zone stretches SW-NE, and terminates within Gemerides with Rudnyani, Roznava, and other siderite-polysulfide-barite deposits in Slovakia. Fluid inclusion PVTX characteristics, Pb-isotope and sulfur isotope data provide sufficient information which reveals their geotectonic and genetic heritage. Uniformity of δ~(34)S values of vein barite, around 10 per thousand, suggests the engagement of Permian seawater in the hydrothermal ore-forming processes. Molar ratios of Na/Br and Cl/Br, following the evaporation trend, confirm the propossed model of the engagement of Permian seawater, modified by evaporation and fractionation of halite, in the ore-forming process. The results may be applied in other siderite-hematite-polysulfide deposits within the Dinarides, Gemerides and possibly Eastern Alps.
