Aluminized and not aluminized high explosive charges achieve in the 12 kg warhead weight class or 4, 5 kg high explosive mass equal fragment velocities and therefor fragment performances. The sensitivity and vulnerability values are marginal different and are not at all excluding one of the investigated types of high explosive charges. Nothing is dangerous, either by friction, drop test etc. or with regard to the survivability tests with bullet or norm projectile impacts or sensitivity to shock loads. The marginal higher sensitivity in the gap test for the not aluminized high explosive charge can be seen also as an advantage for an easier initiability. Only one point is a little different, the factor two large diameter and the longer duration of the reaction products of the detonated charge. But this benefit depends on the attacked targets.
