摘要

Possibility of passive detection of various objects in outer space, in the Earth' atmosphere, or on the Earth's surface was demonstrated for many times [1]. However, useful results of the passive detection may be obtained only employing high-sensitive receivers, scanning or multi-beam antennas of large area, effective survey algorithms, and statistical decision rules. The most important characteristics of a passive detection system are its range and survey time. The goal of the paper is to express a correlation between parameters of a single-beam passive system, of observed object, and survey time. Minor factors aren't taken into account in the paper.
