The application of fuzzy synthetic evaluation in the selection of transmission design schemes

This paper presents a method for the selection of transmission design schemes by using fuzzy synthetic evaluation. The effects of fuzzy factors upon the design of the machine are considered in the method. As an example, three design schemes for a belt conveyor working in the narrow laneway are evaluated using the fuzzy synthetic approach, and as a result, an optimal scheme is obtained from three schemes.
