摘要

The unified strength theory (UST) is adopted as the failure criterion for the analysis of punching shear failure of slab-column connections. Employing the layered finite element method, both material and geometry nonlinearities are considered in the analysis. An investigation is carried out on reinforced concrete beams and slab-column connections. The numerical results indicate that the analysis based on UST is capable of simulating the overall failure behaviour of slab-column connections.
