Technique and Patient Positioning - Correct x-ray technique is particularly important in abdominal radiography. There is very little natural contrast in the abdomen. Low MAS and high KvP techniques will accentuate the small differences in x-ray absorption between fat and soft-tissue structures. Low contrast with long latitude are required (lots of grays and few blacks and whites).
