RECOGNITION AND TREATMENT OF FELINE DENTAL AND ORAL PATHOLOGY

The recognition and treatment of feline dental and oral pathology is an important component in successful management of feline health. Many dental and oral lesions occur frequently in cats but may have a variety of presentations and treatment options.Commonly occurring feline dental and oral lesions include variations in number of teeth and dental abnormalities, periodontal disease, odontoclastic resorptive lesions, fractured teeth, mandibular swelling, lymphocytic plasmacytic stomatitis, nasopharyngeal polyps, and feline oral neoplasia.
