Detection and assessment of feline cardiomyopathy is extremely challenging. Feline patients are often difficult to handle; their heart murmurs can be soft and intermittent; and chest radiographs and ECG are notoriously insensitive in detecting heart enlargement. Thus, echocardiography is the main diagnostic tool in the assessment of suspected disease. This presentation will discuss how physical exam, radiographic, and echocardiographic findings should influence the diagnosis and assessment of felineheart disease.
