Joint advanced heatlth and usage monitoring system (JAHUMS) advanced concept technology demonstration (ACTD)

The Joint Advanced health and Usage Monitoring System (JAHUMS) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) Program is a joint Army/Navy Program that will support a dynamic change in the maintenance philoscophy of DOD helicopters. The objective is to demonstrate the utility of advanced HUMS technology in an operational environment and to demonstrate and validate an open systems approach for technology insertion. A dual sue open architecture system developed by BF Goodrich Aerospace is being acquired by the U.S.Navy under the Integrated Mechanical Diagnostics Program and will be utilized as the baseline system for technology insertion and demonstratioin. Technology modules developed by independent third parties will be added to the baseline system and will be demonstrated in an operational environment of six JAHUMS H-60 technology demonstrator aircraft.
