The paper deals with the problem of incompressible media when BEM in Dynamics is applied to different engineering topics. In the limiting condition, with Poisson's ratio v=O.5, the use of computer programs based on the expressions of fundamental solutions available in technical literature is not possible, due to the 0×∞ forms. By mathematical manipulation, it is possible to obtain new expressions for the fundamental solution, which are applicable for incompressible media; several works on this topic have recently been published. The aim of this paper is to summarise the situation and present further examples, ill order to illustrate the theory, for both 2D and 3D frequency domain problems for isotropic linear incompressible media.
