摘要

Direct metal deposition (DMD) is a laser aided rapid manufacturing technology which can be used to manufacture near-net shape components by layer-bylayer deposition of the material directly from CAD model. Inconel 625 is widely used in aerospace, chemical, and marine applications for its high temperature strength and good corrosion resistance. In the present study, a series of Inconel 625 samples have been fabricated by DMD process. The structure and properties of the as-deposited samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and micro-hardness test. The effect of laser processing parameters on the resulting material structures and properties was analyzed using statistical techniques.
