New architecture supporting plug and play of service for a home network system with flexible expandability

摘要

We propose a new architecture that supports the plug and play of service modules for a centrally managed home network system. Service modules are designed independent of the server package and are managed flexibly. Modules belonging to the same service class can be configured to work exclusively or cooperatively. This architecture provides the possibility to set up a system adapted to user needs, which contributes to the spread of home networks and further progress in consumer electronics.
