Large animal internal medicine cases

This session will be an interactive discussion of the case presented below. Before new case facts are revealed, a panel of "blinded" diplomats in academia, diplomats in private practice, and private practitioners will reveal their opinions. The audience will participate in the case decision process by indicating their opinions via computer palm pilots. The "votes" of the audience will then be displayed via immediate computer tally and display. Discrepancies will be discussed as the actual case factsare revealed. The purpose of this session is to simulate a challenging case presentation while exploring potential differences in case work up. If you plan to attend this session, please do not read the case material presented below before the session!
