摘要

The superconducting magnet system of the world largest stellarator experiment W7-X consists of 50 nonplanar and 20 planar coils. A first nonplanar W7-X DEMO coil was tested 1999 in TOSKA in a first combined test of two superconducting coils in this facility. After cool down, the W7-X coil was operated as single coil up to 19.8 kA conductor current at 3.8 K. In combined mode, the design values of 14 kA in the LCT coil and 14.7 kA in the W7-X coil were realized under stable conditions and, in extended mode, the coils were tested with 14 kA in LCT and up to 16.7 kA in W7-X. Cryogenic test results will be presented hereafter.
