Zhu et.al.[1] presented a simple isothermal model for Orifice Pulse Tube Refrigerator (OPTR). The results of the model were compared with the numerically developed model indicating the closeness of the results. The present paper shows an extension of the isothermal model for OPTR using cyclic analysis developed by Atrey et. al.[2] to predict net performance of the OPTR. Various losses encountered in the refrigerator due to inefficiency of the regenerator, pressure drop in the system, conduction across the solid members, etc. have been computed. The predictions of the model are compared with the experimental results available in the literature. The highlights of the present model are its simplicity, application of proven cyclic analysis and also the quantification of different losses.
