Collision-induced Raman scattering has proven to be a valuable tool for the determination of intermolecular interaction potentials and higher-order polarizabilities of atoms, molecules and clusters [1]. At present these studies are limited, however, to atoms and molecules of relatively high symmetry, where suitable theories of the incremental pair polarizability tensor of the two molecules exist. Additionally, most of the studies were carried out at room temperature. The only exception so far is Hg, where polarized and depolarized collision-induced Raman spectra were measured at temperatures up to 1100 K [2].
