FT-IR and FT-Raman Spectra of Complex of Cu(II) with 6-Azauracil

摘要

The biological activity of aza analogues of uracil has been investigated. 6-azauracil causes severe inhibition of RNA formation. It can coordinate to the metal ions through the two nitrogen atoms of the pyrimidine ring, and the two carbonyl oxygens. Recent spectroscopic studies of uracil derivatives and their metal complexes have been motivated because of their biological importance [1]. In the present work we report the FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of complex of Cu(II) with 6-zauracil.
