摘要

Reactive blending is a very promising technology for preparing new polymeric materials from different polymer components with addition of small amount of chain extender during extrusion, since they can undergo chemical reactions at the molten state. Inata et al used bisoxazoline compounds to improve the intrinsic viscosity of PET and Liu et al. attempted to make PET/PBT block copolyesters by this chain extender. In this recent years, in order to upgrade the thermal properties and improve the permeability toward oxygen, PET blended with PEN has attracted many researchers, but scarcely concerned with the reactive blending of them. In the present work the reactive blending of PET and PEN with addition small amount of 2,2' bis(l,3-oxazoline)(BOZ) as chain extender was conducted. The effect of mixing condition on the intrinsic viscosity and the chain structure of the PET/PEN blends was studied in details.
