Results of development of nickel-hydrogen storage battery within single hydrogen pressure vessel are presented. The battery is a stack of electrically series connected storage cells (SC). Each SC has its separate electrolyte. To attain required capacity the electrodes within SC are electrically connected in parallel. The stack of storage cells is enclosed in a solid housing furnished with hermetically sealed busbar terminals and a hydrogen pressure control sensor. At the moment two versions of these storage batteries with 85 and 200 mm electrode diameter have been developed. Results of the long term rests of the batteries containing different number of series connected cells are presented. Over 10 years battery life has been reached at testing.
