EGNOSATC: A Prototype for the Generation of NOTAM for European EGNOS Flight Procedures

Within the scope of the OPTIMAL project, GMV has developed for AENA the "EGNOSATC" tool. This tool deals with the generation of NOTAM contents based on SBAS flight procedures. It is composed of two main functions called prediction and real time. The prediction function is responsible of forecasting service unavailabilities based on satellite geometry, NANUs and GEO/RIMS notices. With those unavailabilities the system is able to generate the contents of NOTAMs following ICAO recommendations. The NOTAMs are generated for LPV and LNAV approaches. The real time function monitors the signal in space and checks that the service level availability assessment has been made properly by the prediction part; if not, it shows a warning. The real time function is able to detect non-announced unavailabilities of GPS and EGNOS satellites and RIMS stations. The system has a server part and a client part. The server part makes all the computations while the clients can connect to the server and show the information as AIS or as ATC at any airport stored in the database. This paper will show the architecture of the system, the algorithms implemented in the tool and the results of the validation performed during the testing phase.
