Three-dimensional computer graphics simulator for a visual effect of road tunnel ventilation control

In this paper, we introduce a 3D computer graphics simulator for a visual effect of road tunnel ventilation control. This simulator is based on three modules, the ventilation control module, the 3D computer graphics module and the visual effect module. In the visual effect module, we propose an illumination model and a smoke visibility model. These models are quite simple and appropriate for the real time expression of a moving picture. The integrated 3D computer graphics simulator supplies the virtual road tunnel driving environment in order to study safety and amenity for drivers in tunnels.
