摘要

The trailing vortex system near impeller blades has been identified as the major fow mechanism responsible for mixing and disperison in stirred tank reactors. In the area of the trailing vortices highest values of turbulence occur and the major portion of the total energy introduced to the stitted vessel is dissipated here.
