Barmg and DuPont have jointly developed and offer for commercial sale a new high speed filament spinning machine which provides the flexibility to produce a broad range of high quality yarn products at high productivity and reduced manufacturing costs. The EvoSpeed Universal Spinning Machine can commercially produce commodity POY, HOY and FOY products at speeds from 4,400 - 7,500 m/min. It can also spin specialty microfibers and other specialty products having high market value. The break-through technology to this revolutionary machine is a unique quench air management process that controls filament tension, temperatue and attenuation rates. POY production speeds can be increased 50percent and result in manufacturing cost reductions up to 15percent over current, low speed POY processes.
