The calculation on the third-order nonlinear parameter C/A for the organic liquids

Based on the Schaaff's theory which is established by Van Der Waas's equation, a theoretical formula for calculating the third-order nonlinear parameter of the organic liquids is derived. By using this formula we calculate the values of third-order nonlinear parameter C/A for several kinds of organic liquids. The results show that the range of C/A values of the organic liquids is about 63～183.
