As indicated previously, Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau is investigating additional means of reducing both the capital investment and production costs that include the optimization of our equipment designs and continuing our development work in the field of alternative raw materials. All improvements will, of course, be part of future Voest-Alpine COREX Plants. To summarize, the COREX Process is the only proven industrialized process, with several plants in operation and others under implementation, which Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau believes opens up new possibilities for environmentally sound production of iron and steel.
