SUITABLE ACOUSTIC CONDITIONS FOR INDOOR BAND MUSIC AUDITION

In the Community of Valencia the band music is an important sociological phenomenon. The bands and the societies, which protect them, are a cultural diffusion point and a band exists in nearly every locality. His cultural action is based in music promotion through concerts, courses, national and international interchanges and education of the future instrumentalists. These ensembles are composed essentially by wind section(80%), and percussions(20%) with many instrumentalists^ 170) and most of them with a high pronounced directional emission, for that is necessary to limit the acoustic conditions in these auditoriums. In this work we present the "Quart de Poblet" Auditorium, a space of 5560m for 476 seats, where we have studied the reverberation time and the sound field level distribution.
