Progress in superconductivity and cryogenics for the large hadron collider

Developments in applied superconductivity and cryogenics conducted in view of the LHC project, have provided a firm basis for procurement of its advanced components from industrial firms at budget prices. The project construction is now well engaged, with industrial contracts adjudicated for more than one third of the total value of the LHC.
